Black Art Is Beauty is A luxury art house capturing the soul, style, and strength of Black women and men through vibrant photography, fashion, and cultural storytelling. Rooted in the essence of the 90s and elevated by the Y2K Gen Z aesthetic, inspired by the legacy of Gordon Parks — in full color.
For China” , it’s a Ai generated high quality photo of a woman name China from Watts. This piece was created from the photography project Dana Lixenberg did in the imperial courts in the 90s, she photographed the community of the imperial courts projects. It was a beautiful master piece, and one in particular stood out a black and white photo of a girl name China, the photo was so real so moving. And to read that many of those people in the community was either locked up, killed, or vanished, China was loved throughout her community and she was one of many in her community that vanished. I wanted to dedicate this piece to China! For China! We wanted to create her in color to symbol her light still shining through photography.❤️🙏🏾 this piece comes from my love letter to black women everywhere. Thank you for being you, be beautiful. Black art is beauty!
